Day 1
ARRIVAL & WELCOME DINNER
Upon arrival, our team will be waiting for you with open arms. We offer an airport pick-up service, followed by a welcome dinner featuring an exciting salsa performance to kick-start the trip.
Day 2
PALENQUERAS & CHIVAS BUS EXPERIENCE
Get ready to explore the vibrant city of Cartagena! The day begins with a free morning to rest or take an optional city walk and go shopping. We will then have lunch at a favorite restaurant, accompanied by a live band. After lunch, we will take a city tour and indulge in a fruit-tasting experience. In the evening, we will embark on a Chivas bus experience, a traditional bus used for celebrations and events, with staff included.
Day 3
AFRICAN ESSENCE! (PALENQUE & SALSA RUMBA CLASS)
Experience the African essence of Cartagena with a morning visit to the traditional village of Palenque, where you’ll learn about its history and take part in a drum class and local dancing show. We’ll also enjoy a typical Palenque lunch and visit the village for a photo shoot. In the evening, get ready to move your hips in a salsa and rumba class, followed by an optional visit to the popular Havana Club.
Day 4
MUD VOLCANO EXPERIENCE & CHECK IN TO BEACH HOTEL
It’s time to get down and dirty with a mud volcano experience! We’ll take round-trip transportation to Totumo Mud Volcano and bathe in the warm mud. Afterward, we’ll head to La Cienega Lake to wash off and enjoy a typical lunch in La Boquilla or Manzanillo. All travelers should check out early in the morning. After the mud volcano experience, we’ll check into our beachside hotel for some relaxation.
Day 5
YACHT DAY & FAREWELL DINNER
Get ready to explore paradise with a luxurious yacht day featuring free-flowing drinks of your choice. Our trained skipper and first mate will take you to Rosario Islands, where you can enjoy beautiful beaches, crystal-clear water, and amazing marine life. We will visit three islands in total, starting with Tierrabomba, where you can take a panoramic tour around the islands and swim by Rosario Island. Next, we’ll head to Cholon to see the party island, enjoy lunch, and have a relaxing time. Finally, we will make a bay trip before returning to Cartagena.
Day 6
FREE DAY AT LEISURE
Today is your free day to relax, do some last-minute shopping, or enjoy spa time or a massage before connecting with the group for a salsa class and farewell dinner.
Day 7
DEPARTURE & AIRPORT DROP OFF
It’s time to say goodbye and head back home. We offer an airport drop-off service for your convenience.

There are two options to pay for the trip. You can make a full payment immediately upon booking or pay a $350 deposit and the rest in instalments that you are comfortable in running up to 40 days to the trip departure. Deposit is non-refundable if cancellations are made after 40 days to the departure date. Payments can be done via direct bank or mobile transfers – transfer details will be sent upon booking.
We aim to keep the trips small and intimate so we can all get to create long-lasting friendships. 8 to 15 people max depending on the destination.
Yes men are welcome to join unless it is stated as an all girls trip.
Local flights and transportation in the itinerary during the trip are included in the tour package. But since we have guests joining us from all over the world, we are not able to include international flights in the budget to the discovery destination. We can however advise you on the best and affordable flight options.
The itinerary advertised is made in advance in collaboration with travel experts who are locals and with experience from our founders previous trips. We will do our best to stick to the schedule, however some aspects may change due to various aspects out of our control like weather changes or flight cancellations etc. We will act accordingly and find alternative plans during such eventualities.
Rooms will be assigned on double occupancy. All rooms have two single beds with an en suite bathroom. If you wish to have a room on your own, a fee is applicable. Please let us know when making the booking.
Our trips are all about creating a community of long lasting friendships. 6 weeks before the trip, we will create a whatsApp, Telegram or Facebook group where we can mingle and get to know each other and even find a roommate! Rooms will be shared on double occupancy with your travel partner/friend. If travelling alone, you will be paired randomly with another traveler. If you would wish to have your own room, let us know for a single room fee.
A negative Covid-19 test or proof of full Covid-19 is mandatory for all trips. All COVID-19 protocols in the various destination countries must also be observed.
Yes, unless stated otherwise. We are however available to plan similar experiences and discoveries for friends, families or groups if not able to join us on the dates stated.
Due to the preparations involved, prepayments made with the service providers and this being a small group tour, there will be no refund of the deposit. If you cancel your trip, you are welcome to transfer the trip to another person who is interested or to email us to discuss the possibility of joining another trip. We can offer a refund, only if we can find a replacement for your slot. You are eligible for a FULL REFUND of anything above the deposit , if you cancel more than 40 days before the trip. If you are entitled to a refund, Please allow us 7 to 10 working days to process your request. You are also entitled to a FULL REFUND of and any payment made if your deposit payment was made to a waiting list and you never got a slot on the trip.
Yes. Once you secure your slot with a deposit, the payment towards your trip can be paid out in flexible instalments that are comfortable for you. We provide flexible payment plans for all travellers, please let us know what works best for you.
