Day 1
WELCOME TO RIO!
Touch down in the marvellous city of Rio de Janeiro! Your adventure begins with a smooth transfer from the airport to your hotel, courtesy of the Soul Sync Discoveries team. In the evening, we will toast to your arrival with a fabulous Welcome Dinner!
Day 2
EXPLORE CULTURAL DOWNTOWN
After a restful morning, dive into the heart of Rio! Start with a visit to the vibrant Selarón Steps, a masterpiece of color and creativity. Then, wander through the artistic Santa Teresa District, where quirky art galleries, unique shops, and delicious street food will make your taste buds dance! End the day with a breathtaking sunset as you gaze at Sugarloaf Mountain and Guanabara Bay.

LITTLE AFRICA CULTURAL TOUR, CARNIVAL & SAMBA
Discover the soul of Rio on our Little Africa Cultural Tour, immersing yourself in the rich history and untold stories of the city’s Black community. Then, get a taste of Rio’s famous Carnival with a behind-the-scenes experience and a fun Samba session! The Carnival Experience offers full immersion into Rio’s carnival world—from its history and traditional costumes to a quick samba class. You’ll feel the rhythm of Rio!

A DAY OF FOOD AND STUNNING VIEWS
Put on your chef’s hat and join us for a private cooking class where you’ll master the art of Brazilian cuisine. Whether it’s Feijoada or Moqueca, you’re in for a treat! After cooking up a storm, we’ll whisk you away to Sugarloaf Mountain for another epic sunset, this time from a scenic cable car ride. Trust us, it’s a view you’ll never forget!

DISCOVER RIO’S TREASURES, CHRIST THE REDEEMER STATUE
It’s time to visit one of the New Seven Wonders of the World! Hop on a tram and ascend to the iconic Christ the Redeemer statue. After soaking in the incredible views, enjoy a tasty lunch with a refreshing beverage. The day wraps up with a private sunset sailboat tour—complete with snacks, soft drinks, and Brazil’s national cocktail, Caipirinhas! Sip, sail, and soak in the beauty of Rio from the water.

TIJUCA NATIONAL PARK & FAVELA CULTURAL TOUR
Begin the day by exploring Tijuca National Park, where you’ll hike through lush rainforest trails and refresh yourself with a revitalizing waterfall bath. After lunch, we shall delve into Rio’s vibrant culture with the Favela Cultural Tour. Favelas are a vital part of Rio’s cultural fabric, representing resilience, creativity, and the heartbeat of local life. This tour will provide a deeper understanding of the community’s dynamics and contributions to the city’s unique cultural landscape.

LET’S HAVE SOME FUN
On your last day, you’ll have time to shop and acquire some souvenirs. Then, let’s celebrate your amazing journey with a farewell dinner before diving into Rio’s vibrant nightlife. Expect lively music, dancing, and experiences that will leave you with memories to last a lifetime.

There are two options to pay for the trip. You can make a full payment immediately upon booking or pay a $350 deposit and the rest in instalments that you are comfortable in running up to 40 days to the trip departure. Deposit is non-refundable if cancellations are made after 40 days to the departure date. Payments can be done via direct bank or mobile transfers – transfer details will be sent upon booking.
We aim to keep the trips small and intimate so we can all get to create long-lasting friendships. 8 to 15 people max depending on the destination.
Yes men are welcome to join unless it is stated as an all girls trip.
Local flights and transportation in the itinerary during the trip are included in the tour package. But since we have guests joining us from all over the world, we are not able to include international flights in the budget to the discovery destination. We can however advise you on the best and affordable flight options.
The itinerary advertised is made in advance in collaboration with travel experts who are locals and with experience from our founders previous trips. We will do our best to stick to the schedule, however some aspects may change due to various aspects out of our control like weather changes or flight cancellations etc. We will act accordingly and find alternative plans during such eventualities.
Rooms will be assigned on double occupancy. All rooms have two single beds with an en suite bathroom. If you wish to have a room on your own, a fee is applicable. Please let us know when making the booking.
Our trips are all about creating a community of long lasting friendships. 6 weeks before the trip, we will create a whatsApp, Telegram or Facebook group where we can mingle and get to know each other and even find a roommate! Rooms will be shared on double occupancy with your travel partner/friend. If travelling alone, you will be paired randomly with another traveler. If you would wish to have your own room, let us know for a single room fee.
A negative Covid-19 test or proof of full Covid-19 is mandatory for all trips. All COVID-19 protocols in the various destination countries must also be observed.
Yes, unless stated otherwise. We are however available to plan similar experiences and discoveries for friends, families or groups if not able to join us on the dates stated.
Due to the preparations involved, prepayments made with the service providers and this being a small group tour, there will be no refund of the deposit. If you cancel your trip, you are welcome to transfer the trip to another person who is interested or to email us to discuss the possibility of joining another trip. We can offer a refund, only if we can find a replacement for your slot. You are eligible for a FULL REFUND of anything above the deposit , if you cancel more than 40 days before the trip. If you are entitled to a refund, Please allow us 7 to 10 working days to process your request. You are also entitled to a FULL REFUND of and any payment made if your deposit payment was made to a waiting list and you never got a slot on the trip.
Yes. Once you secure your slot with a deposit, the payment towards your trip can be paid out in flexible instalments that are comfortable for you. We provide flexible payment plans for all travellers, please let us know what works best for you.
