Day 1
WELCOME TO SENEGAL
Arrive at Blaise Diagne International Airport, Meet and Greet by a representative from Soul Sync, and transfer to your hotel for check-in, relaxation, and sundowners at sunset activities. Later, enjoy a Welcome dinner where you can interact and meet the rest of your travel friends.
Day 2
DAKAR CITY
Today, we will explore the vibrant city of Dakar through a guided tour aboard a traditional “Car Rapide” bus, a colorful and iconic mode of transportation that represents the local culture and spirit of the city. Adding a touch of local flavor to our journey, Here is what we have planned: Visit the iconic African Renaissance monument, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of the continent, Experience a lively and vibrant artisan market and a wide array of local products and souvenirs. Get ready to shop for unique handicrafts, traditional artworks, exquisite fabrics, and other authentic treasures that showcase local craftsmanship and culture. After lunch, we will also have the opportunity to visit the Museum of Black Civilisations, a treasure trove of African history and art.
Day 3
LET’S GET CRAFTY
Enjoy a free morning to relax, explore the hotel’s amenities, and indulge in some personal leisure activities of your choice.
In the afternoon, we will participate in a local pottery class, where we can unleash our creativity and learn the art of crafting beautiful pottery pieces. Guided by skilled artisans.
After the pottery class, we will have the pleasure of savouring a delectable dinner at a Senegalese home. This is a wonderful opportunity to taste authentic traditional food prepared by our gracious hosts.
Day 4
ADVENTURES AT LAKE RETBA
Today, we have an exciting adventure in store as we visit the enchanting Lake Retba, also known as the ‘Pink Lake.’ Here’s what awaits us:
Get ready for a day filled with excitement, natural beauty, and unforgettable experiences as we embark on heart-pumping dune bashing, traditional charm of a camel ride and ATV rides, a Pirogue boat ride, swimming, lunch with ocean views, and a bus ride along the salty dunes. Lake Retba is waiting to offer you a thrilling and memorable adventure.
Day 5
GOREE ISLAND EXPLORATION AND CRUISING
Prepare for a day filled with historical discovery and thrilling water sports as we explore Gorée Island, learn about its role in the slave trade, and enjoy a private boat cruise paired with exciting water sports. Gorée Island, a small and car-free island off the coast of Dakar, holds UNESCO World Heritage Site status. This famous island played a crucial role in the transatlantic slave trade, with 15 to 20k slaves being shipped to the Americas. It stands as a poignant reminder of this dark chapter in history. Our visit to Gorée Island with a private guide will include a journey to the Slave’s House, where we will uncover the stories of enslaved individuals and witness the symbolic “Door of No Return.” This door represents the final departure of slaves from Africa, marking their heartbreaking separation from their motherland. Through this experience, we will gain deep insights into Senegal’s history, exploring themes of slavery, colonisation, and more, which have shaped the country’s past.
Following our visit, we will embark on an exciting private boat cruise, offering stunning views of the coastline and the azure waters surrounding Gorée Island. Indulge in a range of thrilling water sports, such as jet skiing, underwater scooters, and other exciting activities, immersing ourselves in the refreshing waters and creating lasting memories of adventure.
Day 6
UP CLOSE WITH THE LIONS
Today, we set off on an exhilarating adventure at a Lion’s reserve, where we will have a thrilling encounter with the majestic lions of the Ranch. Buckle up and get ready for an extraordinary experience as we embark on a safari in a closed 4×4 vehicle. Be awe-struck by the sight of the lions gracefully roaming their territory. It’s a truly sensational experience as these magnificent creatures circle around us, occasionally climbing on the roof or hood of the car. A unique opportunity to witness their power and grace up close, while being safely protected in the confines of our vehicle.
Day 7
EXPLORE THE ARTISTIC HAVEN OF NGOR ISLAND
Discover the vibrant spirit of Ngor Island, a haven of art, relaxation, and cultural immersion. After a guided walk in the island, Spend the day soaking up the sun and engaging in optional water sports like kayaking and paddle-boarding. As the sun sets, we will participate in a dinner and traditional dance session on the beach. Our farewell dinner will be a barbecue on the beach savouring the flavours of Senegal’s culinary delights on our last night in this beautiful country.
Day 8
DEPARTURES
Although it’s time to say goodbye, the impact of our time in Senegal will stay with us forever. Depart with a sense of fulfilment and gratitude. There will be private transfers to the airport as per your flight times.

There are two options to pay for the trip. You can make a full payment immediately upon booking or pay a $350 deposit and the rest in instalments that you are comfortable in running up to 40 days to the trip departure. Deposit is non-refundable if cancellations are made after 40 days to the departure date. Payments can be done via direct bank or mobile transfers – transfer details will be sent upon booking.
We aim to keep the trips small and intimate so we can all get to create long-lasting friendships. 8 to 15 people max depending on the destination.
Yes men are welcome to join unless it is stated as an all girls trip.
Local flights and transportation in the itinerary during the trip are included in the tour package. But since we have guests joining us from all over the world, we are not able to include international flights in the budget to the discovery destination. We can however advise you on the best and affordable flight options.
The itinerary advertised is made in advance in collaboration with travel experts who are locals and with experience from our founders previous trips. We will do our best to stick to the schedule, however some aspects may change due to various aspects out of our control like weather changes or flight cancellations etc. We will act accordingly and find alternative plans during such eventualities.
Rooms will be assigned on double occupancy. All rooms have two single beds with an en suite bathroom. If you wish to have a room on your own, a fee is applicable. Please let us know when making the booking.
Our trips are all about creating a community of long lasting friendships. 6 weeks before the trip, we will create a whatsApp, Telegram or Facebook group where we can mingle and get to know each other and even find a roommate! Rooms will be shared on double occupancy with your travel partner/friend. If travelling alone, you will be paired randomly with another traveler. If you would wish to have your own room, let us know for a single room fee.
A negative Covid-19 test or proof of full Covid-19 is mandatory for all trips. All COVID-19 protocols in the various destination countries must also be observed.
Yes, unless stated otherwise. We are however available to plan similar experiences and discoveries for friends, families or groups if not able to join us on the dates stated.
Due to the preparations involved, prepayments made with the service providers and this being a small group tour, there will be no refund of the deposit. If you cancel your trip, you are welcome to transfer the trip to another person who is interested or to email us to discuss the possibility of joining another trip. We can offer a refund, only if we can find a replacement for your slot. You are eligible for a FULL REFUND of anything above the deposit , if you cancel more than 40 days before the trip. If you are entitled to a refund, Please allow us 7 to 10 working days to process your request. You are also entitled to a FULL REFUND of and any payment made if your deposit payment was made to a waiting list and you never got a slot on the trip.
Yes. Once you secure your slot with a deposit, the payment towards your trip can be paid out in flexible instalments that are comfortable for you. We provide flexible payment plans for all travellers, please let us know what works best for you.
